An overview of pinning

- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to explore what pinning is all about. Pinning is a way of saving time when you create graphics inside of Premier Pro. Often what you might find yourself doing is having a lower third that might have a rectangle, you'll want to change the text of the person and then the rectangle won't grow with the text. Now a lot of the presets already have pinning set up. So as an intance let me actually go browse again. We did a search earlier for lower and we dragged this bold lower third left in another movie. In this instance I'll drag it over the second clip in my Chapter01_08 sequence. With the default Selection tool when I double-clicked and selected the INSERT NAME, which I'll choose to be EUGENE DRAW. Notice how the actual lines, the Line Upper and Line Lower are growing with the text. I'll actually now select the title and type in VIOLINIST. The reason that they grow is that they happen…
