The principles of animation
- [Narrator] Back in the days, some designers at Disney defined 12 principles of animation, to help people animate character, design better. These principles would be seen in motion graphic workflows, and can also be applicable to typography design. In this movie we're gonna take a look at some of those principles of animation and how we can apply it to text three in particular. Now I have three compositions open in an After Effects project, and this is a great application to show different things that we can do to text, to make it more attractive when we animate it. The first thing I'm gonna draw your attention to is the ease composition. I just press the space bar. We have two different types of movement here across our text. One happens to be linear, meaning that there is no easing at the beginning and end of keyframes. And the other happens to have some easing movement on our text.
