The role of secondary correction
- Sometimes as you work with a shot you may need to affect secondary color. Secondary color correction is literally the idea that the grass is greener, the skies are bluer. Being able to go after one area and make a change. In our previous example, as we worked with curves, you saw a lot of secondary color correction. Let's go a bit deeper because this is really what happens a lot in the real world. I'm going to open up sequence 5.1 and you'll see a bunch of different shots here. As we go through, there's the before and the after. And you notice that I made the sky significantly bluer. There's my blue sky. Well, this was done by taking a look at some of those changes there and targeting a specific zone. So, either with a curve or using color wheels, we can start to emphasize a particular area.
