- [Instructor] Video editors and motion graphic applications offer a ton of options as it comes to taking your 2D text and making it 3D, providing more possibilities for you to actually even integrate type into your video, as well as your motion graphic projects. So, actually here in After Effects, and inside of After Effects, there are options for taking the 2D type that you see here in my chapter 3-7 composition and making it 3D. The way to do this is to actually switch the After Effects renderer, and how we do that, there's a couple different ways, but actually in your composition happens to be the renderer that we're using which is called Classic 3D, and if we click on this button and we change it to say CINEMA 4D, we get a ton of options, and these are the options that are available to us to now start working with 3D extruded text.
