- [Ashley] So far we've just talked about repurposing videos to make other videos. However, video is so multifaceted and is made up of so many different visual and aural elements, many of which are very useful in the world of social media. So let's spend some time talking about this. And I want to begin by talking about extracting still images from your video for various purposes. There are plenty of reasons that you'd want to extract stills from your video, including to use as images on various types of social media posts, to create custom thumbnails for your video, to combine with text to create graphics or memes, to make collages and mosaics, and so much more. I do this absolutely all the time. For example, here are several social media posts where every single image is an extracted frame of video. And I also do this in the articles that I write.
