Overview of Driver Channel

- [Instructor] As you have seen, animations are created from property changes that occur between artboards. There's another way of accomplishing this by animating property changes on a single artboard. And this is accomplished through what Principle calls drivers. Essentially, drivers establish a parent child relationship. A property change in the parent results in property changes to the child. And where Principle really shines is that you can choose the properties that will change with the child. To see what I'm taking about, open the drivers file in your chapter download. When the file opens, you will see three cards, blue, brown, and I guess purple, and the plan is pretty simple. When I drag the thumb, which is right here, which I've named driver, to the right or to the left, the cards will move in that direction as well. To set the driver, the first thing to do is to select it. So we're going to select the driver, which will be the parent, and we're going to set its horizontal…
