Parallel folds
- The parallel folding family consists of styles with panels that stay parallel to each other. The parallel family is one of the largest folding families and parallel folds can run the gambit from simple to complicated, offering a variety of options suitable for almost any application. Here are some parallel folds. Double parallel, these are pretty common. There's a broadside double parallel, so it folds in half on itself and then it's double parallel folded down. There's a 10 page parallel and a triple parallel. One thing to note about parallel folds is that it's not always obvious how to fold them back down once they're opened. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be problematic if it's something that needs to be folded and unfolded multiple times. Think campus maps or nature guides. Just something to think about. Although not considered distinctive as far as folding styles go, parallel styles are versatile and they can be a nice option for both marketing and mail.
