Poster folds
- Poster Folds are combination folds that are built to open out into a large poster format. Posters consist of at least two folding styles. One serves as the base fold, and the other as the finished fold. The base fold is the first folding style applied. The finished fold is the folding style that adapts for the finished format. Unlike maps, which are based on accordions and open to a large poster-like spread, Poster Folds do not have a characteristic style. So their character is in the fact that they are combination folds. For example, they could start as a Double Parallel and finish as an Accordion. They can start as a Tri-fold and finish as a Double Parallel. And, get this, the two formats don't have to be different either. It could start as a Double Parallel and then finish as a Double Parallel. See what I mean? There are many, many configurations.
