Specialty folds

- The specialty folding family, also called exotics, is the most exciting of the bunch. Folds in this category challenge even the most creative mind. Specialty folds can carry the characteristics of multiple folding families and often it's the inability to identify any one family's characteristics that qualifies a given format as specialty. Specialty folds are uncommon. They're special and not something your printer sees every day. Specialty formats often involve die cutting, but it's not a requirement. And by the way, simply adding a die cut to a folding style does not make it a specialty fold. They can include unique shapes, diagonal folds, and unusual formats. This family is truly limitless. You can use a specialty fold for anything you want, but most of the time, you'll see them for special events. They can make for exciting targeting mail, too. Here are some of my favorites.
