Adding presence with flanging

- [Intructor] Here's a trick that emulates a flange that works especially great on acoustic guitars to fatten them up. Don't stop there, though, because your electric guitar tracks can benefit too. First of all let's listen to this acoustic guitar by itself. (guitar music) Now let's listen to the track a little bit. (rock music) It's there, we really can't hear it. It's supposed to blend in with the track, and it does that, but we want to make it a little more interesting and a little more wider. So what we're going to do first of all, is add a delay. Now here's the trick on this. The first thing we're going to do is put both of our delays on the left and right channel. And you can use this in mono or stereo. Stereo sounds a little better I think. But put the delay down to zero. This is really one of the tricks, put it to zero. The next thing is, if there's any kind of modulation on the delay, like on this one, we're going to put it up to at least 50%, and maybe more. We can put it up…
