- [Instructor] Okay, so there's really nothing like a pan-pot with muscle really effect the way stereo field appears to a stereo centered in the stereo listener or a person with headphones. But once you've made sure that all the stereo elements that say in a group of instruments like keyboards is panned all the way out left and right, and somebody still asks for a wider mix, a wider appearance of a mix, we have to resort to even more devices to achieve that usually. So I want to show you a couple of things here based on my feeling that one of the easiest ways to have a mix appear wider without adjusting the stereo bus itself is to go to the keyboards where you'll see lots of areas where there's a stereo pad, there's a couple here in this one. Pianos are stereo. Stereo keyboards, especially if they have a high frequency component to them are prime targets for giving yourselves an appearance of width without being able to make it any wider than these pan-pots are already adjusted.
