Attitude adjustment glossary

- [Instructor] In this chapter I want to talk about attitude adjustments for your mix. What happens when somebody asks you to make it angrier, or make it more in your face, or messier? What sort of adjustments can you make to ascribe to those adjectives? What if somebody asks you to make it groove harder? Or what if they tell you they think it's too slick? Or they tell you it's not slick enough, another word for that might be it's not pop enough. These are terms that could confuse a mixer and maybe it's equally confusing to the person writing the notes as to what they are really asking for. And what if they think the mix should sound more lush? What do you do when they say that? So these are the more difficult problems to tackle because there are many different solutions for those kinds of requests. And for those listening to a mix and trying to decide what to tell the mixer in terms of real descriptions, not just to make it more lush or more bouncy, those are difficult things to…
