Autopanning

- [Instructor] Sometimes a mix is boring when it's static and needs some motion to put some interest back in. Here's a couple of autopanning ideas that can be as bombastic or as subtle as you like. So first of all, let's listen to the song. It's the B section of the song and listen to how static everything is right now. There's no movement at all in the mix and sometimes that's good and sometimes it isn't. Let's listen. ♪ No matter where I am, I can see your face. ♪ ♪ Like a pho... ♪ Okay. What we're going to do is add some motion to this high capoed guitar. Let's solo it up. (soft guitar playing) What I'm going to do is insert an autopanner and every digital audio workstation has some sort of native autopanner in it and Pro Tools is no exception. In this case, it's under Sound Field and this is TL AutoPan, let's listen to it.
