Blending male and female vocals
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to address the difficulties inherent in trying to blend a lead female vocal and a lead male vocal. Again, I want to refer to a note here, because it's very informative. On a conceptual note, I really want to try and put across that there are two lead singers, but that one may be stepping out more or less in particular sections of the song, even though much of it is a duet. It's an extremely subtle thing to capture, I know. Maybe just a subtle panning to separate them instead of ducking one behind. Not really sure how to, to be honest. That's the note I was given. And yes, I had already done that, setting them slightly apart, and that is a very good thing to do, and obviously, the volume relationship's important. Let's play this chorus.
