- [Instructor] When mixing, it's important to know as much as possible about how the blends of sounds you're working on are working together. One aspect that mixers needs to keep an eye on is how well the song they're working on translates to mono. In this session, I've created an audition path for the mix via a subgroup by sending all the audio tracks to buses one and two, left and right. For the bus returns are aux inputs labeled mono. The channels are panned to the center. When I open up the mix subgroup stereo, the channels are panned properly left and right. This is how the tracks would usually appear in the mix. Here's the mix in stereo, as we'd be mixing it normally.
