- [Narrator] The Solina is a really cool instrument. It can have a nice, lush, retro sound, or it can kind of have this futuristic Blade Runner sound, and it's one of my go to synths for any kind of atmospheric work. It's really great for film scoring. Let's dive in and check it out. So, just like the Farfisa, the Solina is divided into a bass and treble section, and going left to right we have Master Volume, but then we dive into our bass section, and I'm just going to turn on the Cello first. (cello tones play) Let's hear the Bass playing the same thing. (bass tones play) So, you'll notice that the Contrabass is an octave lower than the Cello. And then also notice that if I play in the high register, we're not hearing anything. And that's because the range for the bass instruments only goes up to an F sharp. (bass tones play) So, not hearing anything here, just at the F sharp. I'm going to go ahead and disengage those. Next, we have an independent volume control for our Bass, just…
