Darken the bass guitar
- [Narrator] We're going to move on to adding low frequency equalizers and some other less well known ways of adding bottom end to the foundation of our tracks, which are the kick drum and bass instruments, respectively. Let's play a little of the song some more. ("Deja Vu" by Ben Kessler) Let's start with the bass guitar, solo it. So here you can see as typically I have all bass instruments rooted to an auxiliary, which I can then use to effect all the bass sounds at the same time. So, the first thing I want to show you is a more typical way of adding low end. This nevequalizer, I like to use this very much for low end, and there's a particularly magic frequency I like. And these equalizers, 33 cycles. I'm overemphasizing it here. Now this what I would normally call is a very low sub frequency, and you can play with the bandwidth only limited with this narrow or broad bandwidth button.
