Deciding on the vocal approach

- So your instrumental track is mostly done, and it's time to record vocals. But before recording vocals, something really important needs to happen. Which is for you to figure out your vocal approach. What does this mean, vocal approach, and why do you need to do it? Vocal approach, for me, is basically a plan of how you're going to approach the vocals. It's the methodology of the vocal recording, it's the sound, it's all of these different components that we're going to get into. Keep in mind though, this doesn't have to be a linear process. Meaning that you don't have to finish 100% of the instrumental track before you get going with vocals. It's totally fine to do the vocals toward the beginning, it's totally fine to do them at the end. In fact, in some cases, having a scratch vocal or even a good vocal at the beginning, can be really good because you can build your track around it. In some cases, you might build up this great track, and then the singer comes in when you're done…
