Drum destruction

- [Instructor] I want to give you one final example of distortion, or destruction of a drum track for effect. So this might happen during a break down, it might happen for the ending of a song where you just want to change up the sound of a track to keep the story moving along. And it might be an attitude adjustment somebody's requested where they want something to just sound a little more aggressive or a lot more aggressive in this case than anything you've given them so far. And really give an adjustment to the attitude of the most basic part of any mix which is the drum track. So I've turned up this stereo pair here of a drum loop. And I'll show you what I mean. ♫ "Live for Nothing" by Stefan Pruett That's the way it is. So when you distort a full drum loop like that it really toys with the sound of the kick drum especially and gives a nice aggressive feeling to that snare.
