EQ audio examples: Filters

- [Instructor] Now let's listen to some filters. I'll play an example using the filters from the trident A range on electric guitars. And play it through the chorus, bypassing both filters twice in this section. (guitar music) With this example, I combined a high-pass filter to remove everything from 50 hertz and below, and a low pass to filter everything from nine kilohertz and above. The reason for using both filters in this way is to remove unnecessary low end and also to clean up some of the extra buzz on the top end. This results in a much more focused track that is more suitable to fit well in a mix. I recommend to experiment with filters on a variety of sources to get a feel for how they might benefit your own projects.
