- [Narrator] This chapter deals with equalization. We call it the EQ glossary and this first video, I want to demonstrate the regions of the frequency spectrum. That people can refer to with words like woofy or bottom. Punchy. Muddy. Warm. Nasal. Edgy. Sheen, air. Those kinds of terms. Which you mix engineers are already familiar with. But I thought would be a very smart way to begin this chapter, so that all the people who are making comments on mixes can hear the differences of these different spectrums within the frequency range. From 20 hertz to 20 K. I've inserted this plug in the ML8000. Over the stereo bus of a song by Ben Kessler, called Deja Vu. And, while they won't completely eliminate the surrounding frequencies, these crossover bands are a little more gentle than some we've experienced. But you can get the idea.
