- [Instructor] Working on the grid I can do that easily by first setting my grid value to the increment that I want to use. In this case that's quarter notes which I already have selected. Then I'll select separate clip under the edit menu and select the option to separate on the grid. This command brings up the pre separated mount dialogue box where I can specify a handle to use as padding at the separation point. And in this case since all of the pieces are the same size I don't need to worry about things moving out of time Alright so this gives me lots of creative possibilities. Once I find an arrangement I like, I can group it and then if I'd like I can loop it. Now the grid is also useful for arranging clips as you're editing.
