- [Instructor] I had a request on this song to add more sauce to the vocals. So I want to explain the fun term "sauce" to you. To me, what sauce means is like it would in food, spice or something to make it more than it is. Give it an extra flavor. And to me, what sauce means, is usually a combination of echo and reverb, so let me play you the whole track. This is back to "Stupid For You". I can start from the verse. ("Stupid For You" by Waterparks) So let's say this is without that kind of a sauce. Pretty dry and in your face. Now I'm going to sew it for you, and I'll play before and after this move. ("Stupid For You" by Waterparks) Now the sauce is going to go away. It's echo and reverb combination, listen. To me, that's sauce. You have a quarter note delay, an eighth note delay, and regular reverb. And they're all located on this lead vocal wet auxiliary, you can take 'em all off. All on, or adjust the amount of it.
