How to end vocal phrases

- [Instructor] When I'm producing vocals I have a number of possible problem situations that I listen for. One of them I keep an eye on is how a singer ends certain words or phrases. I frequently find that singers have not set their note choices in these parts and many times they'll sing a series of notes, usually dropping in pitch that may not need to be there. Here's an example where I asked the singer to replicate this sort of pattern. I want to thank Erin Sutherland for singing on this example.
