- [Instructor] Moving along to edgy frequency range that, for me, encapsulates this 2.7K region right here on the brilliance control from Abbey Road Studios / Soft Tube and we're going to switch songs here too, by a band called Waterparks, the song is "Stupid For You", I'll give you a little taste of it so you know where we're coming from. (music playing) So, it is a nice power punk, pop song, by a nice power punk group and moving down, again, I want to put this EQ on the auxiliary for all the lead vocals giving everything that this lead singer sings will be affected by this move. And let's solo all the lead vocals so we can hear the affect of this equalizer quite plainly. (solo singing) I'll accentuate it. (solo singing) Edgy. Less edgy. Less edgy. Flat. So, for me, that is the essence of edginess. This particular plug-in set at that particular frequency. But just to be thorough, let me also demonstrate another way to achieve that, again, I'm going to pick this Pultec style…
