Make it more roomy or make it less roomy

- [Brian] In this movie I'm going to show you some of the different sounds that I described in the last one from the different devices in the arsenal. I am one of those mixing engineers that feeds reverbs and delays primarily from sends. Only occasionally do I insert a ambiance device on a particular track. I do this out of habit from the time when I grew up mixing, and that was the way, really the only way, to get to a reverb was through an external bus. But I also developed a lot of habits, with regards to feeding one effect into another, that I didn't want to give up so easily with any other method. Let's start with the comment that says: "Make it more or less roomy." So let's put up an ambiance program that simulates room. I'm going to use vocals as the source material 'cause it's quite easy to hear what these devices do to a vocal.
