- [Instructor] So let's say you've made a decision to do a professional demo of one of your songs. While this is wonderful in and of itself, it is absolutely essential that you have a plan in place to pitch that song to the music industry at large. Having a great demo in and of itself unfortunately isn't enough. I know this sounds obvious, but people need to hear your song. Your best option in terms of getting that song out in the world are the relationships that you have developed slowly and organically over time in the music industry. People that you've met that you've become friends with who end up being in positions where they might be able to get your song in the right hands. That is your best option. However, for a lot of us, when we're starting out in the business, we don't have those relationships in place yet, and if that is the case, there are still ways of getting your music out there.
