Quantize options for audio and MIDI

we look at how the quantize function can be used with Elastic Audio. Here, we'll consider additional quantize options for both MIDI and audio. Along the way, we'll discuss the groove quantize function in Pro Tools. In this session, a couple of my tracks have some timing issues that I need to fix. Let's start with the MIDI guitar track. I'll unmute and play back a bit so you can hear the problem. (bright classical music) Okay, so you should be able to hear that the timing is off and the track doesn't match the swing feel on the other tracks in the session. Let's select this first clip and use the quantize function in the Event Operations window to address the problem. and zoom in a little bit. The quantize function here lets me specify a note value to align the MIDI events, too. is known as grid quantizing. and apply that to hear how it sounds.
