Removing amplifier hum with RX 5

- [Voiceover] Guitar and base sounds are naturally noisy devices. Some guitars have single coil pickups, and make a lot of hum. And adding overdrive, boost and distortion to a guitar can bring out even more hums and buzz in the track. When recording, I always try to tame the hum as much I can, but sometimes, you just can't quite get rid of it. You won't get the same tone that you were enjoying in the track without getting some of that hum in there. With the introduction of the iZotope RX series noise reduction, I was able to remove the parts of the hum that I don't like. So, here, we're gonna listen to this track right here, solo. So, baritone guitar played this in buzz battles. (buzzing) (electronic music) And it's kinda real strange mid-range tone in there. Probably from the Crybaby Wah pedal that's being used on it. But you hear the tone continue through where the track is actually being played. So if we go in the iZotope RX, the best way to do this work is through the standalone…
