- [Instructor] One of the last things that you should do once you've completed your song is schedule your next writing appointment. My experience over the years has been that having lots of irons in the fire keeps you from getting hung up, or frustrated, or impatient waiting for any one thing to happen. So if you've always got an appointment scheduled to write, you've always got something that you can be doing, so that you're not waiting for any one other thing to happen. Patience is in very short supply, when you're passionate about what you do. So anything that you can do to help yourself be a little bit more patient you should consider. My feeling is you should always have at least one writing session scheduled, but if you are doing more songwriting collaboration, maybe you should have a couple of things scheduled just so you have a couple of different songs that you'll be working on.
