Set up your writing space
- [Instructor] Something that I've found particularly useful in terms of helping you get into the write sort of mindset to write is to have a dedicated writing space. So setting up your writing space is just a way that you can do something in advance of a session to make sure that when the time does come to write, you've got a place that you can go and you know that that is your place when you're going to be creative. So dedicating a space in your home to write your songs is really, really useful. A little tip that I would like to recommend is although it is perfectly fine to keep your guitar, if you play guitar, in a case. Just the simple act of having your guitar out on a stand or hanging up on a guitar hanger makes it infinitely easier, conceptually at least, to pick up that guitar and start using it. Even if it's just the eight seconds that it would take to bend down and open the case and take out the guitar, it's more like a world away when you have to take a guitar out of a case…
