- [Narrator] I want to read you another very astute mix note. This comes from Courtney Ballard, who is the producer on the project Waterparks. It's an ablum, full album. This is song Royal and he writes, "The pre-two guitars need to hit a little harder, "guitars can come up here and fill in the space." Then he writes, "Careful not to make it too big, "still want the chorus to slam." And that's the part I want to focus on and how I solved that problem. There were two guitar parts playing in that pre-chorus, here's one and here's the other. And listen to what they do. Now this is the turned up version so I've made that move to his request. (music plays) Here's one. And here's the other. Hear those chugs? And then the lead part. Note also, that they're going to two different buses. So I could treat them completely differently at the aux bus point.
