Snappy snare

- [Instructor] Many snares recorded with only a single mic have a lot of body, but no top end sizzle. Here's a way to put that sizzle back in the drum sound in a most unconventional way. First of all, let's listen to the song. Concentrate on the snare. (upbeat song) Now, the snare sounds okay, but it would sound a whole lot better if it had a under snare mic. In this case, that wasn't recorded, so we're going to have to simulate one. What we're going to do first of all is add another track. So, we'll create a track. It's a mono track. That's all we need. And, we can just say it's an aux input. And now, we'll call this snare noise. So, what we're going to do now is insert the signal generator every workstation as a signal generator. So, in this case, we're going to insert it. (beeping) That's what we get. In this case, it's a one K sine wave and what we don't want is a sine wave.
