Using reverb and delay to create effects

- [Narrator] Reverb is one of the most common audio effects. We use it to simulate the reverberations of sound bouncing off of other surfaces. Audio tracks without any reverb tend to feel really dead and empty. So reverb is especially important for sound effects which are recorded cleanly in a studio without any reverb. And we'll talk a little bit more about that later in this chapter. Here, though, let's look at how to use reverb to create special effects. In the night scene, we use reverb for a couple of different effects on Eva Jane's voice, and, you know Jacob Kinch did the final version and really knocked it out of the park. But I wanted to show you how I mocked this up initially. Now we have two different examples to play with here. We have Eva Jane leaning over to little Cordea here and shushing her.
