- [Instructor] In this tutorial, we're going to talk about something that is a little bit controversial, actually. It's about using scratch audio or temp audio, temp tracks, sometimes they call it, and it's basically when you know that you're not going to like have the final music while you're editing, which is usually the case, you use a temporary track to kind of give you the sense, the tone, the vibe, the pacing that you're looking for. The problem with this and where it becomes a little bit controversial is that directors often get locked into that temp track, and if you're going to toss in a Beatles track or something like that, you're going to be really stuck, or you're going to use maybe the soundtrack of another movie or something like that.
