The dbx 160 punchy drum setting

- [Instructor] Ever since its introduction in the mid '70s, the dbx 160 family of compressors has been a favorite of engineers everywhere when it comes to getting a punchy kick and snare sound. Thanks to its hard knee compression curve that comes from its VCA design, the 160 has an unmistakable sound that's very hard to duplicate. So let's listen to the song. There is no compression on it at all. It's just the basic rhythm section: guitar, bass, and drums. That's it, have a listen. ("The Juice of Power" by Snew) Sounds pretty good.
