The magic of mono reverb

- Sometimes the mono reverb can give you a bigger sound than stereo, but it's more than just panning a stereo reverb to the center. Here's a trick that will really let you take advantage of the cool sound of the mono reverb. First of all, let's listen to this track and it's completely dry, there's a lot of elements in it, but it still sounds pretty good just dry by itself. Have a listen. (Every Day is a Gift by Patricia Bahia) Sounds good, it sounds big. It doesn't have a sheen to it, and it's not very exciting. So we can actually help that by adding some reverb. So what I've done here is I've put our friend the de-verb in here again and this time it's mono. There's nothing special here. It's on a Hall algorithm and it's a small size and we can see it's 2.3 seconds of decay time, and 27 milliseconds of pre-delay. 27 seconds is timed to the track. The 2.3 seconds is not.
