- [Instructor] As discussed earlier in this chapter, there's often only one or two people on set in charge of the sound, and most of the time on film sets, things are behind schedule. So when the sound person wants to do another take because of a minor audio hiccup or when they want to halt all of production until a distant plane passes or whatever, it's tempting to ignore their advice and just move on. But it's so important to respect what the sound mixer is saying. They are the ones dialed in to the audio. They've got the best audio mongering gear. If they speak up, it's important to hear them. When we were on set, there were these really loud eagles that kept like screeching or hawking or whatever it is that eagles do when they make a bunch of loud noise.
