- [Instructor] Identifying work is a big part of project success. Your estimates, project team and schedule all stem from the work that's required. If you forget work that's needed your schedule could be too short, your budget too small, or your team understaffed, and the project might fall short of its goal. The key is to divide the project work into small tasks so you can plan, track, and manage your project effectively. Small tasks make it easier to estimate time and cost. Assign team members and measure progress. You'll complete tasks more frequently and each completed task is a clear indication of progress. When the project team is fairly small, consider getting the whole team together to brainstorm the required work. You're less likely to forget tasks and it'll help build buy-in with the team.
