- [Instructor] A Digital Elevation Model, or DEM file, is considered a raster file but it really contains points at regular intervals that, most importantly, have elevations at each of those points. Let's add two DEM files to our project. Under raster, I'm going to drag and drop the first DEM. Hit okay and the second DEM. There we are. So we have two DEM files listed and basically what happens is it's color coding each of the elevations based on a random color from zero to four, 65 on one, 213 in the other. What we're going to do is we're going to actually blend these two. Let's style them, first of all, so they look similar. The first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to double-click on the first one and just go into symbology and see how it says single band gray, that's fine. From zero to 465. I'm actually going to lower that down and just cap it at 313. I'll hit apply and okay. And I'll do the same for the…
