Polygon layers
- Polygon layers have both lines, the edges of the polygon, and fills, the color inside of the polygon. Exploring the edge and fills can help add these types of layers to your map without hiding other layers underneath. Let's try that now. We're going to add buildings.shp, click okay, and parcels to our current map. Make sure that the buildings are above the parcels by dragging and dropping. There we go. And they came in with some default colors. To give some context we're going to bring one of these ECWs in. Let's bring the 553A ECW. So we'll drag and drop that in. It doesn't know what coordinates it's in so let's right click on it and go properties and set the source to that UTM Zone 10. There it is. Hit okay and there it is, it's downtown. Okay, make sure the parcels are above it. So make sure the raster's underneath parcels and buildings. And we'll zoom in and there we have it. We've got an image, we've got…
