Transfer a credit between customer jobs

- [Instructor] Suppose completed work has an outstanding credit and your customer wants to apply that credit to one of their other projects or sub-customers if you use them for jobs. You can transfer a credit between customers or projects using Journal Entries. I'm going to use a sub-customer but this technique will work with Projects if you have QuickBooks Online Plus or higher. In the navigation bar, let's go to Sales or Invoicing if that's what you see and then choose Customers. I'm going to create a sub-customer for Benjamin Miranda. To do that, up at the top of the screen, click New Customer. I'm going to fill in the name as Miranda Properties. On the right side of the customer information screen, turn on the Is Sub-Customer checkbox and then choose the parent customer which is Benjamin Miranda.
