- [Instructor] If you have other items to add or deduct from employees paychecks the miscellaneous category is the place to go to tie up these loose ends. In the QuickBooks Payroll set up interview underneath the company category, click Miscellaneous on the left-hand side. That takes us to the miscellaneous screen. And you can see that there are several items already in place. There's one for cash advance, another one for a cash advance repayment, and finally mileage reimbursement. Which is a pretty popular one. If you have others, go ahead and click the add button. That opens up the add miscellaneous item dialogue box. Click the down arrow in the miscellaneous type box. And you have several types of additions and deductions. Well, we're going to start with the deduction for donation to charity. So I'm going to select that in the list and then click Next.
