- [Instructor] Welcome to the very last video in this first course in this two-course series about designing big data healthcare studies. In this video, I'll give you a preview of what you'll learn in the next course, part two. In this course, we started by thinking about how to create a hypothesis that would work for secondary data analysis. We had to make sure we specified our subpopulation, exposure, outcome, and our confounders. Then we went shopping for a source data set that met those specifications and selected them. Finally, we operationalized the native variables in the source data set we needed into a data dictionary, essentially designing our analytic file that we will use for our eventual regression analysis to answer our hypothesis.
