- [Instructor] Most UAVs have an onboard GPS or a GPS inside the camera. The accuracy of this GPS varies. In fact, the GPS collected onboard most UAVs isn't as accurate as, say, one used with RTK, Real Time Kinematic. There are a few UAVs that have Real Time Kinematic, meaning that it's got a base station that accurately located the GPS points. Normally, you have to go in after you've flown, or before, and gather those accurate points, also known as ground control points. Let's create an aerial project now using our 2D folder under exercise files. Let's select all the images and click open. Then you'll see the ground control points button. Let's click that. And I'm going to flip over to notepad and I'm going to open up the GCPS file, it's a text file located in your exercise files, with all the ground control points. I went out into the field and gathered four individual ground control points with a GPS. Now these are quite accurate. We used a base station. These four points need to…
