Cutting a flat bottom

- [Instructor] In this video, we'll use the Plane Cut tool, to make a flat bottom on our mesh. For most designs, you'll want a flat bottom, so the design can stand up straight. And for a desktop 3D printed object, a flat bottom, makes it much easier to print. So, let's see how to do it. Let's go to the Edit menu, and choose Plane Cut. Let's orbit around here with our center mouse button. So, you can see a few things here. We have that same gizmo that we saw with the Transform tool. And our preview of the cutting plane tells us that it's currently oriented correctly. We already did that work, orienting our object. But, if you wanted to, you could change the cutting plane to be at a different orientation. This blue arrow here, if we click on it... By clicking on it, it flips the part of the model that's going to be kept. In our case, this is the side that we want. Let's drag this blue arrow down a ways. You can see how our preview changes. Now right now, we're just sort of freely…
