Ensuring the drone is in photograph mode

- [Instructor] When using your UAV, be sure to set your camera on-board into photograph mode. Most UAVs default to video, such as a GoPro, but setting it in photograph mode allows you to create lots of images of your scene. So, doesn't matter if you're using a multi-rotor or fixed wing, you want to make sure that camera is not in video mode, because then we couldn't be able to post-process our data and put it into ReCap. So setting the camera in photograph mode allows us to have individual photographs that we can use after the UAV lands. The types of imagery that are taken, usually are sort of a comparison between JPEG and RAW. Well, we could also say TIFF and RAW at this point as well. Now the RAW is a much bigger file, it hasn't been modified in any way, whereas the JPEG is much smaller, it's compressed. The JPEG can be viewed on most platforms, you can look at a JPEG on your phone, or on your PC. The JPEG has some pre-processing done, so there may be some color correction, and even…
