- [Instructor] There's more than one way to take a photogrammetry scan. Let's talk about a few ways to plan your route. Now before you start you want to check the photo limits of your preferred software. If you're using a free or student version there may be a photograph limit and you'll want to keep this in mind while planning your photography. Size and complexity may affect the number of photos required, and just for reference I took about 35 photos to generate this scan for this course but pro software can process hundreds of photos. Let's talk technique. For the project in this course we'll be using the Object via Walk-Around method. The key to photogrammetry is taking photos from all angles. You'll want to move in a circle around your object, taking photos as you go. You're trying to make sure that your camera sees every angle, every detail of your project.
