Welcome

- [Paul] Reality Capture is a term that typically refers to the use of technology to measure, record, and digitally recreate three-dimensional objects, buildings, and spaces. In industries like architecture and construction, Reality Capture technology is increasingly replacing more traditional methods that involve tape measures and manually drawn notes. Like most technological advances, software is a big part of the Reality Capture tool set. In this LinkedIn Learning course, I'll be exploring how you can use Autodesk ReCap to import, compile, edit and share Reality Capture data acquired from any number of laser scanning or photo-based devices. We'll use data from a project that I collaborated on in Volterra, Italy, hosted by the Volterra-Detroit Foundation, to illustrate how this software works. Hi, my name is Paul F. Aubin, and I'm an architectural software consultant with extensive experience in Autodesk Revit and the profession of architecture, and I'm excited to invite you to join me in my course on ReCap Workflow for Reality Capture.
