Triggering REX loops in Kong
- This course is not really going to get into sound design, or it would be a very, very long course, and perhaps not what you were looking for. So I'm not going to show every single nook and cranny in Kong. However, there is one trick that I really want to show you. So, I'm going to scroll up just a bit and reset the device. All the devices that are able to save patches in Reason have a reset device option. Which basically allows you to begin from sort of a blank slate. So now, there are no drums assigned to any of these pads. And what I want to show you is the little loop player that's in here. So, I have drum number one, pad number one selected. And I'm going to choose the Nurse Rex Loop Player. And I'm going to find some sort of loop for us to play with. I'm going to go to Dr Rex Drum Loops, because I'm looking for an individual Rex patch as opposed to a full Dr Octo Rex patch. And I happen to like these Bomb Squad patches. I'm gonna look in the Beats folder, and... (drum loops)…
